ORLANDO, FL – An Orlando man is in police custody after allegedly shooting his roommate over a drink of water Saturday, July 18th.

According to ClickOrlando, the suspect shot his roommate three times in the kitchen of their home on Ivey Lane after being “bullied” by the victim. The suspect has claimed the shooting was in self-defense as the other man had consistently called him names and yelled at him.

At first, the suspect’s 22-year-old nephew was arrested in relation to the crime as they were seen leaving the scene following the crash. He was released shortly after his uncle was arrested.

The suspect is being charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, destruction of evidence, and perjury.
